  Title:  Flora and the Flamingo  Genre:  Fiction  Author and Illustrator:  Molly Idle    Major Awards:  Caldecott Honor Book  Age group:  4 to 6 years    Summary:  This wordless picture book by Molly Idle is about a little girl and a flamingo who learn how to dance together. At first, the little girl failed to follow the flamingo’s moves but once the flamingo offers a little help, they both start dancing beautifully together.  Evaluation:  Appropriate grade level would be Preschool to 1 st  grade.  This book was really funny and cute at the same time. I loved the way the author was able to create this wordless story using the flip the flap concept, it was brilliant.  I don’t think I would have this book in my classroom library because I would be afraid my students would destroy it.
