Evaluation:
Appropriate grade levels would be 1st to 2nd grade.
I loved the illustrations in this book because it matched the tone of the book very well. The tone of the book was very calm and smooth, and the choice of the color palette made it feel that way.
This could be a very cute and cozy read aloud to show students about friendships. If I was teaching an art class, I could instruct my students to draw a picture of something that happened in a story we might have read and let them choose a color palette that could set the mood of the story. For example, if we read The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle, we could use very colorful colors because the colors used in the book were very vibrant and colorful.
